Contract Length

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• STABLE
• 2 years of LDRP experience
• Newborn stabilization experience
• Comfortable working with OB in house and managing laboring patients autonomously and independently, especially nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced

Unit Details

• Women’s Services - LDRP - Flr 2
• 6 L&D beds in a secure unit
• 1 OR suite dedicated for C-sections
• 160 births per year

Clinical Responsibilities

• Work with laboring and postpartum patients
• Care for well baby and well mom
• Handle high-risk and critical patients
• Support postpartum, induction, hypertensive crisis, and hemorrhage protocol care
• Stabilize patients until transfer
• Serve as newborn nurse in C-sections
• Care for both mom and baby for the first couple hours after delivery

Scheduling

• 7-7 shifts
• Self-scheduling with core staff
• Weekends and holidays are equitably distributed with core staff

Float Scope

• Helping hands or safety attendant
• Must be comfortable floating for tasking as needed
• Not picking up shifts in other departments

Additional Notes

• 1 facility day of orientation, plus Epic orientation and 2 unit shifts
• Surgical scrubs are required in delivery; own scrubs may be worn otherwise
