Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Galesburg, Illinois
• 12-hour nights
• 36 hours per week
• 37-bed Med Surg RN department

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Negative drug screen for all panels
• Requested time off must be submitted
• Last four digits of SSN
• Clinician’s middle initial

Assignment Details

• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• May require holidays depending on schedule
• No specific scrub color; approved OSF logo gear with scrub pants is allowed
• Tele patients are accepted and monitored by central monitor tech
• No vents on the unit
• BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow patients are seen on the unit
• RT is available 24/7
• Pharmacy is available during the day, with ePharmacist support and nursing supervisor assistance
• Self-scheduling is available, but scheduling will be managed by the manager due to the short contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if possible, while still meeting weekend requirements
• May float to another floor if competent to do so; floating includes a full patient assignment
• Floor-specific orientation includes 2 days in the department and 1 day of hospital/EMR orientation

Patient Population

• Common diagnoses include COPD, Sepsis, CVA, COVID, pneumonia, and surgical patients such as hips, knees, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and bowel resections
