Registered Nurse - BMT/Oncology Unit
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work on a 51-bed unit caring for patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T.
- Rotating shifts: Night (3x12 hours, 7 PM - 7 AM) and Day (3x12 hours, 7 AM - 7 PM).
- Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 3-4:1 but may flex based on staffing and unit needs.
- Float between BMT/Oncology and Cellular Therapies Unit (CTU) as needed, including possible float to sister facilities within the metro region.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Scrub color: Navy.
- Weekend work required per unit needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Bone Marrow Transplant experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Chemotherapy administration experience
- Hematology experience
- Oncology certification (ONC)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
