Overview

• 13-week assignment in an Emergency Department with a 25-bed unit plus halls.
• 12-hour shifts on evenings/nights.
• Emergency Department serves all ages and is a NYS Designated Stroke Center.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
• ACLS.
• BLS.
• PALS.

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 to 1:5.
• Charge nurse is not assigned to travelers.
• Nurse aides are available.
• Tele skills needed.
• Nurses need to read strips.
• Drips and vents are used.
• Hospitalist support is available.
• RT is available 24/7.
• Floor-specific orientation is provided.

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend required.
• Rotating holidays required.
• Start times are 3p or 7p.
