Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Towson, Maryland

Job Description

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies.
Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and others under direction.
Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Must be willing to care for Telemetry patients as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing, including experience within the last year.
Experience working with stroke patients.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

Candidates may request time off equivalent to one week of contracted hours during the assignment.
Orientation sessions are scheduled up to 6 weeks in advance and occur every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Overtime starts after 48 hours worked.
Facility is a 257 licensed bed acute and sub-acute care center with a high volume of admissions and emergency visits.
The position involves working in a well-established suburban hospital setting with a broad range of medical services.
