Role Summary
- Provides care for patients with critical or life-threatening illness.
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status.
- Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips.
- Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertion.
- May float to other units based on hospital needs; if floated outside skillset, duties are helping hands only.
- Works with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Telemetry experience within the last year.
- 1 year of telemetry experience.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification.
- MGB Dysrhythmia Exam with a passing score of 80%.
- Resume including the past 7 years of work experience.
- 2 references within the past 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor or above in the skillset.
- Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
Onboarding / Compliance Requirements
- MGB badge photo.
- Fit test for N95 within 365 days of start date, with annual updates.
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation, if fit test is required for the skill.
- MMR documentation or proof of immunity.
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date.
- Health statement signed by an MD, DO, NP, or PA.
- Criminal background check.
- Massachusetts CORI check.
- Education verification.
- SSN trace.
- National sex offender check.
- Exclusion checks.
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form.
- Beeline attestation.
