Acute Surgical Unit RN

Overview

Role: Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical (Nursing)
Specialty / unit: Acute Surgery Unit (6271D)
Location: Duluth, Georgia
Schedule: 12hr Nights, 36 hours per week
Shift time: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Unit Details

Very fast paced unit
Discharges 8-15 patients daily and admits about the same
Patients may be admitted from the ED, PACU, or direct admits
ADT nurse helps with flow

Holiday Expectations

Must work 2 major holidays out of 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
Must work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
