Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Shift: Day Shift (4x10 hours, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- General Surgery experience including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), laparoscopic assisted procedures, and partial/total thyroidectomy
- Experience with Whipple procedure
- Gynecology experience including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, dilation and curettage, and laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures
- Orthopedic experience including arthroscopy, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, open reduction of fractures, and total joint replacement
- Trauma experience
Required Skills and Clinical Experience
- General Surgery procedures including:
- Appendectomy
- Cholecystectomy
- Colon resection
- Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical)
- Laparoscopic assisted procedures
- Partial/total thyroidectomy
- Whipple procedure
- Gynecological surgeries including:
- Abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy
- Anterior/posterior repair
- Bilateral tubal ligation
- Dilation & curettage
- Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures
- Orthopedic procedures including:
- Arthroscopy
- Closed reduction of fractures
- Laminectomy/discectomy
- Open reduction of fractures
- Total joint replacement
- Experience in General OR and Level I Trauma settings is required
- Preferred but not required:
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Neurology, burns, scrub/hand/burn skills
Additional Information
- On-call availability is required and will be discussed during the interview
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

- Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation and sign confidentiality and job expectation forms
- Candidates must complete a New Employee Orientation video prior to starting assignment
