Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Knoxville, Tennessee
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required as needed
Patient Population
- Infants through 21 years old
- Common cases include DKA, respiratory failure, respiratory distress, pneumonia, status asthmaticus, trauma, sepsis, ingestion, seizures, altered mental status, post-arrest, and post-surgical patients
Unit Details
- 14-bed unit with 11 private rooms and 3 semi-private beds in one large area
- Bedside procedures may include central line or arterial line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and EVD/bolt placement
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
