Unit Overview

Med-surg, telemetry, and stepdown unit
Patient ratio: 1:4
Common diagnoses include heart failure, chest pain, ESRD, renal failure, neuro/stroke, respiratory failure, and syncope
Equipment available includes bedside GE monitors, AVA system cameras for fall prevention, and vein finders

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic

Scheduling Notes

Blocked scheduling and holiday RTO cannot be approved
Traveler may be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team
