RN CVICU Pediatrics

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Overview

• Hospital-based nursing role providing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
• Assigned to a group of patients and responsible for documenting responses to treatment, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products.
• Works with patients and families on care plans, discharge, and hospital procedures.
• May assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegate tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Pediatrics CVICU (1 year of experience)
• Pediatrics CVICU experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• CVICU experience

• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Ability to maintain good working relationships
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
