Job Opportunity: Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: No floating outside like units; floating allowed only to like units
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
• Radius Rule: Must live within 60 miles
• Locals: Accepted on a case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina (active and unencumbered)
• Minimum 2 years of wound care experience, including experience within the last year
• Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
• Fit Mask Test: N95 fit test within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
  • Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccination series, or declination required
  • Annual flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• TB Testing: Negative T-spot or Q-Gold test within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed

Competency and Testing

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
• Color blindness testing required prior to start
• Competency exam required (unit-specific)

Documentation and Onboarding

• Clear, passport-style badge photo required before start
• Completion of orientation modules and facility-specific training mandatory before orientation
• Submission of all required documents (I-9, driver’s license/state ID, social security card)
• Education verification required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if needed
• Background and licensure verifications must be completed prior to start

• Radiation badge not required for this position
• No prior travel experience required
• Facility provides scrubs and parking pass (with fees for nights/weekends)
• Floating only to like units, no cross-floating to different specialties
