Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Georgia
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:30–7:00
- 36 hours per week
- 8-week contract
- Patient population: infants to geriatrics, primarily adult RRT, with pediatric intubated patients
- Unit is a level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified, with a level 3 NICU
- Floating may be required within the facility and to a sister campus as needed
- Locals accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
- Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Must be able to manage non invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, arterial blood gases, capillary blood gases, and draws from lines
- Full compliance is required to start on time
- 1st timers are accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry testing)
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Major holidays may be required based on assignment dates

- Background check must be complete before start
- Education verification required
- Transcript/diploma required for RRTs
- Physical exam required
- TB questionnaire required
- Negative TB or chest X-ray required
- Drug screen required
- Flu vaccine or declination required
- 2 clinical references required by Aya
- Skills checklist required within 12 months and updated annually
- Work history verification of most recent employer required
