Physical Therapist (Travel) – Austin, Texas
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, approximately 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month with compensatory days during the week
Unit Overview
- Location: Rehab Office, 5th Floor, Hospital Building
- Number of Beds: 364 (treat patients across all units)
- Staffing: 18 physical therapists total
- Typical Day Shift Staffing: 10-12 PTs Monday through Friday; 6-8 PTs on weekends
- Night Shift: None
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
- Permanent Positions Available: Yes
Patient Care & Procedures
- Perform evaluations with recommendations for discharge
- Provide treatments aimed at achieving patient goals
- Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, oncology, and critical care cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
