Assignment Overview
- Travel RN position in Austin, Texas
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour night shift
- No call required
- 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Neuro medical/surgical unit
- 30 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
Unit Environment
- Team-oriented and self-motivated staff culture
- Navy scrubs required
- Hoop nose piercings are not allowed
Additional Notes
- Packet provided on start date
- Meditech is used on the unit
- Common procedures include stroke NIH, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
