Unit Information

Unit: Operating Room (OR) with 11 OR beds
Staff: 53 total
Night Shift Coverage: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 tech in-house; trauma, neuro, and heart teams on-call
Patient Ratio: 2:1
Equipment: Standard OR equipment
EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a general OR setting including Neuro/Spine, Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT), Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), and Robotics surgeries
Call requirements: 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekend call shifts per month
Preferred candidates have charge nurse and precepting experience
Ideal personality: flexible, easy-going, with strong communication skills

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Meditech EMR experience
Charge nurse experience highly preferred
Precepting experience

Additional Notes
