Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech experience
- Trauma experience
- Holding inpatient experience
- CPI
Unit Highlights
- Emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track spaces, and 5 behavioral health spaces
- Typical patient ratios: 1:4 in ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, 1:3 in cardiac/trauma
- Common responsibilities include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens use, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
Work Environment
- Team-oriented unit with charge nurse support and additional mid-shifts
- Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
