Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location

Washington, District of Columbia
60-mile travel radius

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
Typical Shift Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch); occasional shifts may start at 6:00 or 6:15 AM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Role: CVOR RN Educator
Experience with scrub and circulate roles required
Exposure to complex cardiac procedures including transplants, VADs, heart failure, aortic work, robotic surgery, and possibly congenital heart surgery
Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
Familiarity with AORN standards and competency creation required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
CVOR experience with a minimum of 3 years, including experience within the last year
Minimum 3 years of experience in both scrub and circulate roles
Previous travel experience
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Surgical Processing Technician (SPT) certification
Certified Biological Safety Professional (CBSPD) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
