Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Orange, California
13-week assignment
Night shift, 4x10 hours, 21:30–07:30
Start date: ASAP
First-time travelers are not accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license in California
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) (2 years of experience)
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ASCP-BB
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Blood bank experience (within 2 years, current/recent)
Experience working in a large hospital (300+ beds)
Trauma Level I facility experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching hospital experience
Experience with blood bank software
Wellsky instrumentation experience
Immucor instrumentation experience
Clinical Immunohematology Scientist certification

Schedule and Work Conditions

Rotating weekends and holidays
May need to flex start time to 20:00 as needed
May be asked to work additional weekends to meet unit needs
No on-call
Floating is not required
Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be considered
