Pediatric ER

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Hagerstown, Maryland
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Mixed floor in a busy Level 3 Trauma facility
• 54-bed ER seeing about 220 patients per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience
• Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year
• 1 year or more of total travel experience
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience in a busy Level 2 or 3 trauma facility
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Experience with Epic
• 2 clinical references
• Proof of state residency if using a compact RN license

Preferred

• Less than 1 year of travel experience may be accepted if the candidate has 3 years of ER experience and experience in a busy Level 2 or 3 trauma facility

Additional Requirements

• 2-step PPD and flu vaccine required; no exemptions
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• Hepatitis B proof of positive titer, vaccination, or declination required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity by titer or vaccination
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
