Acute Care Float RN

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Knoxville, Tennessee
Acute care float assignment; staffing supervisor assigns the unit at the time of staffing
Start date: ASAP
Night shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts
Typical patient ratio: 1:6
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
On-call: not required
Block scheduling: not accommodated

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Float (2 years of experience)
Float experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience with Cerner

Assignment Areas

May float to medical, surgical, trauma, observation, oncology, nephrology, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, cardiac surgery, and cardiac units

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

Government-issued photo ID
E-Verify proof or attestation
Background check
Education verification
NURSYS verification for RNs
Physical exam within the last 12 months
Tdap
TB screening and TB questionnaire
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
Drug screen with alcohol test
Flu vaccination or approved exemption when applicable
References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
