RN - Emergency Dept

Role

  • Travel RN in the Emergency Department (Free Standing)

Unit

  • Emergency Department
  • 10 procedure rooms
  • 1 trauma room

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Hampshire
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • MOAB
  • TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of ED experience for HCA hired staff
  • Strong understanding of EKG interpretation

Unit Details

  • 12 staff members
  • Patient ratio: 5:1, with flexibility when using the trauma room
  • Floating: Main ER if needed, not to other units
  • Every other weekend for contract labor and FSER staff

  • RNs work with policy-written protocols based on chief complaint
  • Workup includes labs, EKGs, x-rays, medications, and initial patient care
  • RNs run POC lab testing for all patients
  • Work with providers for medical screening exam within 10 minutes of arrival
