Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location

Birmingham, Alabama

Employment Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 32 weeks

Work Schedule

Shift: 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: One weekend per month and one day per week on call
No float requirements

Unit Information

Department: Cath Lab
Number of labs: 4
Patient ratio: 1 team member to 1 patient
Equipment used: Merge Hemo
EMR systems: Merge Hemo and Cerner (transitioning to Epic in August 2026)
Patient population: Cardiac patients

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
Experience with Impella
Experience with Laser
Experience with Shockwave
Experience with Phillips panning

Skills and Experience

Must have experience with:
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Impella
- Laser
- Shockwave
- Phillips panning
Preferred experience with Merge Hemo system
