Respiratory Therapist

Location

Greenville, South Carolina

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours
19:00–07:30
Weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to change based on need

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
Float between CVICU and PICU
Work with both pediatric and adult patients
ICU-based ECMO support role
Manage ECMO device during bedside ECMO cannulation and/or cannula repositioning
Work alongside ICU RN and RT under provider team direction

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Adult patients
ECMO specialist experience
Experience with Epic

Clinical Focus

Post-cardiac surgery
Cardiogenic shock
Traumatic injury
ARDS / respiratory failure
Other critical acute illness requiring ECMO support

Equipment

Cardiohelp ECMO console
Centrimag ECMO console
Cardio Quip heater-cooler unit
Glucometer for point-of-care testing
