Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Details
- Patient ratio: 1:7-8 in Oncology
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (first-time travelers are acceptable)
- Float and call responsibilities required
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
- Orientation: Virtual orientation on Friday, onsite reporting Monday
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Royal blue
- Guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Parking cost approximately $125/month
- Candidate must provide photo ID matching legal name on first day
- Background checks required: 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, sex offender search, education verification, foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
- Education verification required for highest level of education; official transcripts may be requested
- EPIC testing encouraged for RNs with prior EPIC experience; onsite EPIC training provided if testing not completed or failed
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
