Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Holidays as required
  • Every other weekend

Work Setting

  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross issued by American Red Cross
  • NIHSS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • AHA PALS if working in a pediatric unit

Unit Overview

  • Cardiac surgical intensive care unit and stepdown care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions
  • Focus includes post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring
