Ultrasound Tech - General (Travel/Contract)

Location: Salem, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shifts: Variable Day/Swing shifts (07:00 to 01:00) and Swing/Graveyard shifts (12:00 to 05:30)
  • Hours per day: 10 hours
  • Hours per week: 40 hours
  • Ability to perform OB ultrasound required
  • Operate advanced ultrasound equipment and related technology
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with empathy and compassion toward patients and coworkers

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer
  • Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Required Pre-Employment and Ongoing Compliance

Background Checks

  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
  • International background check if applicable

Health and Safety

  • Physical exam within one year of start (can start pending physical)
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (with provisions for positive TB history)
  • Required vaccinations or documented immunity for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (or declination)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (antibody titers or vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella (antibody titer or vaccines)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine or signed declination (year-round requirement)
  • Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting

Documentation

  • Clear copy of driver’s license, passport, or state ID
  • Proof of name change if applicable
  • Signed job description prior to start
  • Badge photo with white background submitted at least 8 days before start

References

  • Two professional references within the last 2 years, showing at least 1 year in a comparable specialty
  • At least one reference must be supervisory within the last 12 months

Additional Notes

  • Competency exams and required training modules must be completed by designated due dates
  • Must demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Empathy and compassion toward patients, families, visitors, and coworkers are essential qualities for this role

This position offers a travel contract opportunity for experienced Ultrasound Technicians with specialized skills in OB and Abdomen sonography, requiring licensure and registration specific to Oregon.
