Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds. The position involves working a 4x10 hour day shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with on-call responsibilities during weeknights and weekends.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation

Work Schedule & Requirements

Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
On-call required: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM on weeknights and weekends (Friday evening through Monday morning)
Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
Locals within a 50-mile radius are accepted

Health & Safety Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Fit mask test required annually (on-site testing available if needed)
Immunizations/vaccinations required or declination forms accepted for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declinations accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use

Background & Compliance

Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Education verification required (nursing degree verification)
Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
Work history verification may be required if reference exceptions are requested
Various state-specific background checks and attestations may apply depending on placement location

Additional Requirements

Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance

Notes

This is a reduced orientation position with 0 hours of non-billable orientation (standard is 40 hours)
Prior travel experience is required; no first-time travelers accepted
Candidates must submit return-to-office (RTO) details at time of submission
