Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic
Location
- Chicago, Illinois
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility (locals only)
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- No weekend or holiday call requirements
- Return to Office (RTO) policy: Up to 5 days off with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on weekends or the day before/after holidays
Job Description
- Registered Nurse in Oncology Clinic
- Facility is a mandatory float site; all staff must float within their scope as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Oncology experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Chemotherapy certification
Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
- Background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months; annual updates required
- Immunizations/vaccinations:
- Tdap within 10 years or signed declination
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for measles, mumps, rubella (boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (booster if low titer)
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 4)
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year; exemptions require approval for PAPR use
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams required within 12 months of start
- Annual skills checklist
Facility & Work Environment
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Any solid color
- Parking: Limited paid parking options; public transit highly recommended
- Floating required as per facility needs

- Locals only; must reside within 75 miles of the facility
- No pending licenses accepted
