ICU Registered Nurse

Location

• Chandler, Arizona

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• 3 years of current ICU experience
• ICU experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular experience

Schedule

• Every other weekend required, with the possibility of up to 3 weekends per month if needed
• May have 1 holiday off during the assignment
• Self-scheduling is available, with manager adjustment as needed

Assignment Details

• ICU setting with medical, cardiac, overflow, and surgical/trauma/neuro cases
• May float to telemetry and between ICU units as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance, with up to 2 attempts
• Pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
• Orientation is 1–2 days
• Navy scrubs required

Additional Notes

• Charge nurse does not take patients
• No monitor techs on the unit; nurses interpret their own strips
• No additional call or standby shifts required
• May be low censused up to 3 times during the contract
• TNCC is preferred
