Job Overview

Travel RN position in Med/Surg
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Schedule includes every third weekend
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Call: No

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (3 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

Float between three Med/Surg units
Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
Unit has 27 to 30 beds

Preferred Experience

General and ortho post-op care
Managing Heparin drips
Blood administration

Patient Population

Ortho and general surgeries
Back surgeries
GI issues
Renal
Oncology
General medical

Work Environment

Fast-paced unit
Candidate should be independent and flexible

Additional Information

Navy blue scrubs required
Non-Franciscan sweatshirts or jackets are not allowed
Facial piercings are not allowed
CBTs must be completed before clinical orientation
If Epic was used within the past year, there may be an opportunity to test out of additional Epic education
