Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases for Labor and Delivery patients.
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Flexible to float to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Infant patients
- Nursery experience
- 2 years prior travel nursing experience
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Additional Information
- Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to acceptance, and address provided.
- The position requires night shifts and a 36-hour workweek.
