Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel Assignment)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Role involves circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Ascending Aortic Aneurysms
- Aortic Root Replacements
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs
- Femoral-Popliteal Bypass
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- AV fistula procedures
- Impella placement
- Ventricular Assist Devices
- ECMO cases
- Thoracotomy and Robotic Thoracotomy
Patient ratio is 1:1
Unit consists of 4 Operating Room suites
EMR system used: Cerner
Scrubs provided by hospital

Schedule & Call Requirements

Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Call schedule: Every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend
No block schedule option available
Expected hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Indiana
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
CVOR experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Driver's License
