Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Portland, Oregon
- Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Unit: Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMC)
- Peds charge RN experience is needed, with willingness to charge on some shifts if needed
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience in charge roles
- Ventilator experience
- Experience with Epic
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Preferred
- EVD experience
- PD experience
Unit Details
- PIMC provides intermediate-level care for medical/surgical patients ages 0–18, excluding obstetric patients
- Populations served include non-ICU neurosurgical patients, Video EEG and spectrum scan Peritoneal Dialysis, chronic trach/ventilated patients, select hyperbilirubinemia, select cardiac surgery, research patients, and complex post-op patients including orthopedic spine, crani’s, and bladder augmentations
