Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday to Monday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Day shift, 4 days/week, 9 hours/day)
Call and Holiday Rotation: Yes
Caseload: Approximately 150 cases per day

Job Description
- Operate advanced imaging equipment including 3D, GE C-Arm, Medtronic O-Arm, OEC & Elite GE C-Arm in Operating Room and Endoscopy settings, plus AMS 4 GE Mobile units.
- Work settings include Outpatient, Inpatient, Operating Room, Emergency Room, NICU, PICU, and Adult ICU.
- Imaging experience required in Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Fluoroscopy Studies, Enema Studies, and Surgery/C-Arm.
- Floating within or to sister facilities is not required or expected.
- Block scheduling accommodations are not available.
- On-call and weekend coverage required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Virginia
- ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- Experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient settings
- X-Ray Technician experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License (front and back copy) required for all candidates.
- Background checks including lifetime criminal history, education verification, and federal/state registries required.
- Drug screening within 30 days prior to start.
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start.
- Fit mask (N95) certification required and must be updated annually.
- Immunization or immunity documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes.
- Seasonal flu vaccination documentation required during flu season (September 1 – March 31) or approved medical/religious exemption.
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation required or declination on file.
- Completion of facility-specific orientation, confidentiality, code of conduct, and Epic experience screening forms prior to start.
- Completion of WorkRamp training modules within one week of signing (approx. 8 hours).
- References: Two professional references required, including one from current or recent supervisor within the last 2 years.
- Employment application and work history verification covering at least 2 years required.
- Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates.
Additional Notes
- Weekend and holiday coverage is mandatory.
- On-call duties are part of the assignment.
- No floating to other facilities.
- Locals are welcome to apply.
- Guaranteed hours and scheduling are subject to facility policies.
- Candidates can renew BLS certification onsite if needed (at their own expense).
- First-time travel assignments are accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
