Overview

• Travel assignment in Dickson, Tennessee
• Start date: 7/27
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 48-hour guarantee
• No RTO
• No OT billed until after 48 hours

Unit

• Women’s Services
• 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite
• No techs or unit secretaries
• Floating: regular staff may float anywhere within the facility as needed; some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS
• AWHONN
• NRP
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience with shoulder dystocia
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage
• Fetal monitoring education
• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred

• Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies
• ACLS
• AWHONN

Clinical Details

• Advanced skills needed: fetal monitoring education; experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
• Procedures performed on the unit: C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries

Schedule

• Full-time, 3 shifts per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Additional Notes

• Pink and/or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy
• Daily rounding on all patients and SAFETY rounding are required
• Meditech and CPN are used for documentation
• The unit has experienced RN staff and is described as a strong team with helpful preceptors
