RN Med Surg Telemetry

Overview

• Travel RN float pool position
• Day shift: 0700–1930
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
• Weekend schedule varies based on unit need
• No call requirement

Unit / Float Scope

• Float Pool
• Floats every shift
• May float to Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units
• Unit size varies by where floated; smallest unit has 15 beds and largest has 40+ beds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• 2 years inpatient hospital experience
• Minimum 1 year travel assignments
• 2 years experience
• Prior Float Pool experience

Additional Details

• Typical patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights, with possible stretching to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC
• Scrub color: any color, as long as clean and professional
• Unacceptable attire: jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, shoes with holes in them
