Overview
- Travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- 12 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- AWHONN or CEFM
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience circulating for C-sections
- Experience with vaginal delivery
- Experience with cesarean section
- Experience with newborn assessment
Schedule
- 3 weekend shifts
- 1 call shift for RNs
- 3 12-hour shifts
Unit Details
- Staffing includes RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
- Travelers float first
- Shared decision making is part of the patient experience expectations
Clinical Experience
- Care of the laboring patient
- Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
- Circulate and recover c/s patients
- Procedures on the unit include vaginal deliveries, c/sections, d&c, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
Preferred / Additional Notes
- Scrubs are not provided by the hospital; required colors are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray
