Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
- ACLS
- BLS
- EFM
- NRP
Unit Details
- Labor and delivery unit
- 11 beds
- AWHONN patient ratios
- Rotating weekends
- On-call not required
Key Clinical Skills
- Independent labor and delivery skills, including cervical checks, OR circulation, IV starts, and medication management
- Labor management
Preferred Experience
- Device placement such as IUPC and FSE
- Newborn transition
Common Procedures
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-section deliveries
- Pre-op/PACU care
Work Environment
- 7th floor, main tower
- Standard GE labor and delivery fetal monitoring
- Wireless monitoring
- Baxter IV pumps
- Meditech Expanse and GE CPN Connect
