Required Qualifications

RN license
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
2 years of core experience in the specialty
Level I trauma experience
Teaching hospital experience
Must be able to interpret EKG
Cerner experience
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance
Must complete a day 1 pass/fail exam
Must complete SIMs Lab
Must have their own vehicle if traveling as a team

Unit Details

32-bed Neuro Tele unit
1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Charge nurse takes a light patient assignment
Central monitoring
No vents
RT available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7
IV support available through SWAT RN for difficult sticks

Schedule

4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Holidays based on unit coverage
2 days of floor orientation

Spinal surgery
Encephalopathy
ESRD
Psych issues
Brain tumor

Additional Notes

Floating may include MS/Tele and possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen
Steel gray scrubs
Weekly orientations on Mondays, except holiday weeks
