RN CVICU Pediatrics

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour shifts

Overview

  • Hospital-based nursing role providing care for patients with a range of health problems, from simple to complex.
  • Core duties include patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration, IV infusions and blood products, documentation, assisting with examinations and minor procedures, patient/family education, care coordination, and delegation to support staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience
  • CVICU experience in a level I trauma setting
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association

Skills

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Some computer skills
