Job Opportunity: Level 2B RN - 36hrs. Nights and EOW

Unit Description

• Level 2B Special Care Nursery
• 25-bed unit including Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 Operating Rooms (ORs), 2 Antepartum Nursery (ANU) rooms, and Recovery Room (RR)
• Average daily census: 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• EMR system: EPIC

Patient Population

• Mothers and newborns in special care nursery and labor/delivery/postpartum settings

Shift Details

• 36 hours per week
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
• Rotating day shifts (7 AM-7 PM, 11 AM-11 PM, 7 PM-7 AM) with 1 night of call; evening and night shifts do not rotate

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

• L&D: 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural
• PP: 1:3-4

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Postpartum nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
• Nursery experience
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
