Shift

Nights, 12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
2 years of experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NRP certification

Schedule Requirements

Block scheduling
Every third weekend
Holidays as needed
Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands

Unit Details

Labor and delivery/postpartum unit
4 labor and delivery beds
7 postpartum beds
Typical patients include laboring patients over 35 weeks and mother/baby couplets
RN drips include magnesium, oxytocin, LR, Zofran, and postpartum medications
Neonatal respiratory equipment may be used for troubleshooting
Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment

No clinical involvement
3 unit-specific orientation shifts
Scrubs provided
Rural setting with limited services
RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
Facial hair may affect fit testing requirements
