Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Specialty certification for the specialty area
• ENPC certification

Role Overview

• Provides nursing care for patients in the emergency room
• Performs triage and prioritizes care based on patient needs and flow through the emergency care system
• Handles patient movement, blood draws, wound cleaning and bandaging, medication administration, and supply maintenance
• Completes focused assessments of chief complaints in a timely manner according to triage guidelines
• Works within hospital policies and the Nurse Practice Act
