Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Contingent Labor
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift:

Day/Night rotation (07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30)
0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week
Block schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday each week

Job Overview

Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care.
Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
Participate in mentoring, teaching, committees, or projects.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for Minnesota.
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience.
NICU nursing experience is required.

Additional Information

Practice guided by ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and teach are essential.
