Job Description

• Provide nursing care in ICU and Step-Down ICU units.
• Must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
• Document care according to standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units to support patient care continuity.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Float experience, including within the last year
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• Stepdown experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is required.
