Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Travel)

Location: White Hall, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend (24 hours)
Call Requirements: None

Unit & Patient Population

Behavioral Health Unit (BHU IP Unit 1)
Adult and Geriatric patients
12 geriatric beds, 24 adult beds
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
EHR system: Cerner
Float between adult and geriatric behavioral health units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas
Minimum 3 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Certifications: BLS issued by the American Heart Association, Handle With Care
Crisis stabilization skills and experience, including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Cerner EHR system

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with milieu management using the therapeutic milieu model

Bipolar Disorder
Schizophrenia
Schizoaffective Disorder
Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
Dementia

Work Environment & Culture

High energy, team-oriented, positive attitude preferred
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
No clothing with hoods (jackets, hoodies) allowed
