Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

4 procedure rooms, each with 1 patient
Staff includes 22 RNs and Techs
Day Shift: Director, manager, minimum 3 staff members per room
Night Shift: On-call team with 4 staff members on STEMI call
Patient ratio approximately 1:1
Equipment: All GE rooms
Documentation Systems: Meditech and MacLab
Call Requirement: Up to 15 days during critical periods

Typical Procedures

Cardiac catheterization
Cerebellar angiograms
Stents and balloons
ENT lab procedures
Scrubbing in during procedures

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Cath Lab Tech Certification

Additional Preferences

Previous travel experience preferred
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced unit
Ability to function well independently

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.

They need to upgrade their RT equipment and their charting system
