Job Overview

Shift: Primarily days, with possible overlap during shift change based on department needs

Nursing professional development practitioner in the emergency department
Specialty focus: nursing education and emergency services
Patient population: adult and pediatric

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Master of Science in Nursing
2 years of ED - Emergency Department experience
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma center experience
1+ year of nurse educator experience
Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating educational content and learning

Pros

Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.

Cons

It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
