Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Eureka, California
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 18:00–6:00
• Hours per week: 36
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
• Float scope: travelers float within their scope to meet facility needs
• Unit details: 11 rooms/beds, average daily census 15–20, about 20 visits/day
• Postpartum experience is preferred
• Facility cares for high-risk OB and a culturally diverse population
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• NURSYS verification required
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NRP
• EFM
• IV certification
• TNCC
• CPI
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam
• Skills Checklist
• Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
• Rubeola (Measles)
• Mumps
• Rubella
